The Great Land Run Education Foundation was founded in 2008 by Continental Resources with the objective to support Chisholm and Enid public school districts through the annual Great Land Run Race.

Triangle Insurance Co. became the title sponsor of the race in 2015 and we added Wymer Brownlee as a co-title sponsor in 2022. As the title sponsors, Triangle Insurance Company and Wymer Brownlee not only contribute monetarily, but also promote community involvement in the race and recruits additional sponsors.

Initially only a 5K run, the race has since grown into a 5K, 10K and half marathon which attracts more than 400 runners to Enid, Oklahoma. Each year 100% of net proceeds from the race and sponsor donations are divided based on school district attendance and distributed at the following year’s race. Since its inception, the GLR Education Foundation has donated over $700,000 to local public education.





Governed by a board of directors, the GLR Education Foundation is formed by representatives from Triangle Insurance Company, Chisholm Public Schools, Enid Public Schools and the Enid Running Club. Board Members include, from Triangle Insurance: President Mandy Cross, President & CEO; Ricki Crabtree, Executive Manager, Communications & Asset Management; Sally Wall, Marketing and Communications Coordinator . Also serving on the Board are: Dudley Darrow, Superintendent EPS; Marcus Chapman, Superintendent CPS, and Dr. Eve Switzer, ERC President

We appreciate the continued support from area businesses and volunteers. We also wish to thank the various Enid and Chisholm student organizations who volunteer at water stops and pass out medals at the finish line.
